Joelle Blouin
This French-Canadian Artist is fast being sought after by collectors in North America, recognized for her unique cubist landscapes created with a palette knife.
Born in 1985 in Quebec City, A graduate of Design at FXG, Joelle absorbed the acute attention to form associated to architecture and design which leads to URBAN LIFE, LIGHT and CITY SCAPES. Joëlle makes an effort to blend the paint on the canvas and each painting is her vision of her recent trip to that city. In order to maintain "creative stability" Joëlle uses her own photographs for inspiration, turning them into "cubist" visions with bright vibrant touches. The artist prefers working on larger canvases, as they accentuate the "cubic”. A self-taught painter, Joëlle has excelled in the field and won several prizes along the way.
Joëlle first private viewing took place in early 2008 at a trendy pub in Old Quebec, Canada. Her career as a professional painter was launched! Her paintings are now showcased in galleries across Canada and the USA. She currently lives and works in Quebec city, Canada. But, to Joelle's youthful spirit, she is always on the move...traveling from city to city throughout North America creating works for her collectors to enjoy!
